BABACAR THIAM NDIAYE

Research Director

Babacar Thiam Ndiaye is the Research Director at Model UN Academy, where he leads the development of research and analytical reports on diplomacy education and global engagement. His work focuses on examining international data to highlight why diplomacy matters and to make complex global issues more accessible to students worldwide for a Forbes 30 Under 30 nonprofit.

He is a Business Analytics and Economics graduate from Hult International Business School in Boston, with a growing focus on international systems, accountability, and global justice. His interests lie at the intersection of governance, economic structures, and humanitarian protection, particularly in how institutions can either reinforce inequality or expand dignity and independence for underserved communities.

Babacar is the founder of DFD, where he is developing the concept of an “AI Safety Net” designed to support NGOs and governments in strengthening resource resilience and civilian protection in complex and high-risk environments. He is also a co-founder of AGRO-AI, an agritech initiative recognized among the Top 60 U.S. student-led startups by the Hult Prize Foundation, focused on sustainable irrigation solutions for farmers in Senegal.

His experience also includes leadership and cross-cultural engagement through the National Association of Black Accountants and the U.S. Department of State’s Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program.

Through his work, Babacar is committed to contributing to the development of systems that uphold accountability, strengthen international cooperation, and better protect vulnerable populations. He is particularly interested in the role of data-driven intelligence and ethical system design in shaping the future of global security and humanitarian action.
