SHARMAGNE BACONGALLO
Director of Programs
Sharmagne Bacongallo is the Director of Programs at Model UN Academy, an edtech nonprofit that's engaged over 18,000 students worldwide with 1.5 million words of free resources on diplomacy through Model UN. As Director of Programs, she currently authors comprehensive modules and spearheads substantive discussions for the Model UN Academy Fellowship. She also leads the hiring and recruitment process for global and regional team members.
Sharmagne is currently studying within the Humanities and Social Sciences Strand at Assumption Antipolo. She’s the Co-Founder of Batang May Alam Philippines, a youth-led NGO working to make quality civic education accessible. She was the youngest delegate at both the ASEAN Youth Sustainability Forum and the Republic of Korea and ASEAN Connectivity Forum and the first Sustainability Officer of her school’s Student Council.
Sharmagne has also established herself as a consistent and effective head delegate across multiple major conferences, most notably Harvard WorldMUN and Philippine International MUN. She has garnered recognition for her exemplary performance, securing awards such as Best Presenter, Best Position Paper, and Best Delegate.
